HTML source code displays opening HTML document due to not saved as text.
Cause:
If the HTML document was saved as text the Internet Assistant does not convert the markup back into HTML.
Solution:
Create a new document based on the Normal templates, change the filename to include an .HTM extension and save.
1) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Open...'. (The Open dialog box appears.)
2) Open the file as 'Text Only'.
3) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Select All'.
4) Copy the document to the Clipboard.
5) Select the 'File' menu and select 'New...'. (The New dialog box appears.)
6) Click the 'General' tab.
7) Select the 'Blank Document' template.
8) Click 'OK'. (The blank document appears.)
9) Paste the original document into the new document.
10) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save As...'. (The Save As dialog box appears.)
11) In the filename text box type a new filename with an .HTM extension.
12) In the 'Save File As Type' drop-down list box select 'Text Only'.
13) Click 'OK'.
14) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close'. (A message displays: This document contains formatting that cannot be saved in text format. Do you want to save changes to <filename>?)
15) Click 'Yes'. (The file will open as an HTML document.)
